The Holiday Sing-A-Long began as a private affair—an annual gathering with family and friends in the Los Angeles home of Judith Owen and Harry Shearer. In 2005, when the guest list had grown too long to hold the event at home, Owen and Shearer moved their Sing-A-Long to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, where they hosted and performed to acclaim with special guests including Van Dyke Parks, Richard Thompson, Keb' Mo', Julia Fordham, the Angeles Chorale Chamber Singers and others.

The Holiday Sing-Along has gone on to premiere in major U.S. cities to acclaim and overflow crowds, including New York, San Francisco, and others. Special guests have included The Bobs, Jill Sobule, Marshall Crenshaw, Paul Shaffer & They Might Be Giants.

The Holiday Sing-A-Long is an evening of music and mirth for Christmas lovers and Scrooges alike, a mix of traditional and non-traditional holiday music that is both reverent and irreverent.
