The Art of Fandom explores the vibrant intersection of popular culture and  contemporary artistic practice. This exhibition showcases how local artists from the New  Orleans area channel their passion for anime, cartoons, video games, and other  fandoms into dynamic and original works.

Through illustration, painting, mixed media, and designer toys, these creators reinterpret  familiar and beloved characters, aesthetics, and narratives, transforming fandom into a  catalyst for innovation and artistic expression. By highlighting this diverse community of

artists, the exhibition celebrates the powerful ways in which pop culture continues to  shape and inspire the local art scene.

The exhibition will feature artists from across the New Orleans creative community,  including both established professionals and beloved local creatives. Professional  artists included in the exhibition have completed artist residencies, presented solo  gallery exhibitions, illustrated books, and have work included in museum collections in  New Orleans. Alongside them are Local Favorites, well-known community artists  celebrated for their creativity, accessibility, and impact within fandom spaces. Many  participating artists work across multiple disciplines, including music, nail art,  photography, fashion, and design. This cross-disciplinary approach reflects the dynamic  nature of fandom culture and offers visitors a vibrant and diverse showcase of artistic talent.
